Our bamboo straws are handmade in Indonesia from local bamboo. They are crafted from a single stem of bamboo, so all are unique in colour and size. All straws have a diameter of 6 to 10 mm. The reusable straws are available in 3 different lengths:

  • 50 straws of 22 cm (8.6 inches) in bulk
  • 12 straws of 22 cm (8.6 inches)
  • 12 straws of 15 cm (5.5 inches)
  • 6 straws of 22 cm (8.6 inches) and 6 straws of 14 cm (5.5 inches)
  • Why bamboo straws?

Bamboo straws are one of the eco-friendliest options for straws. The natural straws also add a touch of a tropical feeling to any drink. Bamboo straws are great for families with children. Made of sturdy bamboo, they are hard to break. Our bamboo straws are rated as the best reusable straws by the Guardian.

  • At home or on the go

The straws come in a cotton pouch for all straws and a separate pouch for a single straw. This way, you can keep one straw in a handy place like your car or purse and refuse single-use straws on the go. The bigger pouch is perfect to keep the straws at home and use them whenever you feel like having an eco-friendly drink.

What’s in the Box?

  • 6x, 12x or 50x Bamboo straws
  • 1x Cotton bag for all straws
  • 1x Cotton bag for one individual straw
  • 1x Cleaning brush
  • 1x In-depth digital user manual

“It’s just a straw” – said 8 billion people. Plastic straws are such a problem because of their sheer magnitude. It is estimated that 170 to 390 million straws are used per day in the USA. That is enough to wrap them around the world at least once.

Most plastic straws are disposed of after a single-use. After enjoying your drink with them for a couple of minutes, they end up in landfills or nature for centuries to come.

Refuse single-use straws

The best option is to refuse straws altogether. But not everyone can or wants to give up on straws. Then, a reusable straw is an eco-friendliest alternative. Most are made from bamboo, metal, glass or silicone.

Cheer with reusable straws

Having reusable straws at home will enable you to drink with them sustainably, whenever you feel like it. Keeping them at a handy place, where you can easily reach them at any time like your purse or backpack will empower you to say no to single-use plastics.

Scheme

Bamboo

Each bamboo straw is made of a natural bamboo stem harvested by local farmers on their properties. The bamboo doesn't come from farm fields but is a non-timber forest product harvested by cutting out invasive bamboo plants on the farmers' properties. This provides extra incomes for farmers who were burning this invasive bamboo before.

The bamboo is then sanded to be smooth and splinter-free. Finally, bamboo is boiled and washed. It only takes a couple of hours to produce a Bambaw straw as the bamboo grows so fast.

Thanks to its robustness, the bamboo can go into the dishwasher while still biodegradable, making it the perfect component for reusable straws.

Pineapple bristles

The straw brush bristles are made of pineapple leaves which allow the straw brush to be resistant and long-lasting. An excellent example of upcycling as these leaves are usually discarded after the pineapple is used for food.

304 stainless steel

The 304 stainless-steel wire's flexibility enables bending the brush easily in any shape to clean hard to reach areas. It is highly durable and lasts a long time. On top of this, it's a champion of recycling. One of the world's most recycled material, ahead of paper and glass. 60% of the new stainless-steel production comes from recycled material.
